Coronavirus Update Regarding May 1

Several people have asked if Churchill Counseling’s offices will be reopening on May 1, as Governor DeWine has expressed a desire to start reopening some businesses in our State.  We believe that May 1 is too early to conduct sessions in person.  There are several reasons, first and foremost, we want to keep our clients and staff safe.  Many of our counseling rooms are no more than 10’x10′, which is too close for safety from this virus.  Additionally, since we have heard that there may be many people who are asymptomatic, it would be presumptuous of us to think that all of our staff and clients are free of the virus (though that is what we hope).  At the time of this writing, new Covid-19 cases are being reported in the Mahoning Valley every day.  We will continue to provide Telehealth services, as we have since mid-March.  And, yes, we are accepting new clients.  Our clinical staff are doing all they can to provide the same caring services  to which our clients have become accustomed.  Our clerical staff are answering the phones just as they have in the past.  Except for the fact that clients and staff cannot see each other in person, our services and dedication to our clients have not changed.  We, like most of you, are monitoring this situation every day.  It is our hope that we can reopen our doors some time this summer.  When that decision is made, clients will be called, and this website will be updated.  Thank you for your loyalty and patience through this unprecedented time in all of our lives.  And if you are new to Churchill, welcome.
